Abundance mindset with AI SRE competitors
At re:Invent, I walked by a guy wearing a Deductive AI jacket. They’re a direct competitor, so I stopped and introduced myself.
Turns out it was Rakesh, their CEO.
Within five minutes, we were excitedly swapping notes on AI SRE like old friends.
Same thing happened with Stephen from incident.io - he reached out and we planned 30 minutes for coffee. We ended up talking for over an hour before he realized he was late to his next meeting.
And Rajsekhar and Edward from SRE.ai. First meeting turned into burgers a few months later.
We’re all building “AI SRE” but we each have very different takes on how to approach the problem. Different bets on architecture, on workflow, on what matters most.
These conversations are only possible if both show up with an abundance mindset. If you’re guarding your thinking, you can’t learn from others.
The founders I respect most operate this way. They spend all their energy on what they’re building, not on who might be gaining on them.
Paranoia doesn’t ship.
